This is not a 6" jointer but it works well as a hand planer.
I was pleased to see that the cord is extra long compared to most hand power tools.
I have not changed the blades yet but they appear to be easy to change without any need for alignment tools as long as you use the razor blade type.
I have done both edging and face planing. Face planing is easier, but edging is doable.
The plastic carrier is usable but the planer and fence must be positioned just right for the lid to close. It would have been nice if they had included a storage area for extra blades.Get more detail about Bosch 1594K 6.5 Amp 3-1/4-Inch Planer Kit.
