I've tried several electronic stud finders, some pretty high end. None of them work as well at identifying where studs are and where they are not. Beyond that, this thing is small enough to fit anywhere, can work as a (small) bubble level, doesn't use batteries so there is nothing to run out, doesn't cost a lot, and doubles as a handy and very powerful magnet.
